Install the Keka Extension

A Chrome extension that tracks your daily/weekly hours, timelines, and logoff time right from your browser toolbar. Takes about two minutes to set up.

⬇ Download Extension (.zip)
Already installed and just need an update? Jump to Updating to a new version.
ℹ️ This extension isn't on the Chrome Web Store — it's installed as an unpacked extension instead, which just means a few extra clicks in Chrome's own Extensions page. Nothing to worry about; it's a standard, fully supported way to run an extension, just with one extra step Chrome adds for anything outside its store.
1
Download the extension
Click the Download Extension (.zip) button above. It'll save as keka-extension.zip in your Downloads folder.
2
Extract the ZIP
Find keka-extension.zip in your Downloads folder and extract it. On Windows, right-click → Extract All. On Mac, just double-click it. You'll get a folder — keep it somewhere permanent (not the Downloads folder, and don't delete it later — Chrome reads the extension's files from wherever this folder ends up).
3
Open Chrome's Extensions page
Type the address below into Chrome's address bar, or paste it after copying.
chrome://extensions
4
Turn on Developer mode
There's a toggle in the top-right corner of the Extensions page labeled Developer mode. Switch it on — this is what lets Chrome load an extension that isn't from the Web Store.

5
Click "Load unpacked"
Three new buttons appear once Developer mode is on. Click Load unpacked, then select the folder you extracted in Step 2 (the one containing manifest.json).

Pin it to your toolbar
The extension is now installed. Click the puzzle-piece icon in Chrome's toolbar and pin Keka Tracker so it's always one click away.

Open Keka and sign in
Open Keka in a tab and log in as you normally would. The extension picks up your session automatically — click its toolbar icon any time afterward to see today's hours.
Updating to a new version
↻
Replace the old folder, then reload
Download the latest ZIP from the button at the top of this page and extract it — either over the same folder from before (overwriting it) or into a fresh one. Then go back to chrome://extensions and click the reload icon (↻) on the Keka extension's card. No need to remove and re-add it.
Troubleshooting
The popup shows a red "Update Required" screen and won't open
Your installed version has fallen too far behind. Download the latest ZIP from the top of this page, follow the "Updating to a new version" steps above, then reopen the popup — it unblocks automatically once the newer version loads.
Chrome says "Manifest file is missing or unreadable"
You likely selected the ZIP file itself, or a folder that's one level above the real one, in the "Load unpacked" picker. Make sure you extracted the ZIP first, and select the folder that directly contains manifest.json — not its parent folder, and not the ZIP.
I don't see the extension icon in my toolbar
It's installed but hidden behind the puzzle-piece (extensions) icon in Chrome's toolbar by default. Click that icon and pin Keka Tracker — see Step 6 above.
Will this ever disappear or need reinstalling?
Unpacked extensions stay installed as long as the extracted folder stays where it was when you loaded it — don't move or delete that folder. If Chrome ever shows it as "corrupted" after the folder was moved, just repeat Step 5 pointing at its new location.
Is this safe? Chrome keeps warning me about "developer mode" extensions.
That warning is generic and shown for any extension not installed from the Chrome Web Store, regardless of what it does. This one is source you (or your team) built and controls directly — the same install method used by developers testing their own extensions before publishing.
Install the Mobile Dashboard
📱 This is separate from the Chrome extension above — it puts the web dashboard (what you pair to your phone) on your home screen like a real app. It works fine as a regular browser tab too; installing just makes it feel native and load instantly, full-screen with no address bar.
🤖 Android — Chrome
Open keka.mixtechnix.online in Chrome, tap the ⋮ menu in the top-right corner, then tap Install app (some Chrome versions label it "Add to Home screen").
↻ Refresh
⬇ Install app…
☆ Add to bookmarks
Confirm in the popup that appears. Keka Tracker now has its own icon on your home screen and app drawer, and opens full-screen from there.
🍎 iPhone / iPad — Safari
⚠️ Install this before pairing, not after. iOS gives an installed app its own storage, separate from Safari — pair in a Safari tab first and the installed app opens as if you'd never paired, needing the process again from inside it. Installing first avoids that entirely.
Must be opened in Safari specifically — Chrome and other iOS browsers can't create a full-screen home-screen app; on iOS, that capability is Safari-only.
Open keka.mixtechnix.online in Safari, tap the Share icon (square with an upward arrow) in the toolbar, then scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.

🔖 Add Bookmark
Confirm the name and tap Add (top-right). Then close Safari and open Keka Tracker from your home screen — pair from inside that installed app, not from the Safari tab.
📱
Next: pair your phone Once the extension is installed, open its popup and click "Pair Mobile" to link this dashboard to your phone.
